Disclosure regarding CPA Exam educational requirements

Although obtaining a CPA license after passing the CPA Exam is not required to practice accounting, many in the field aspire to the credential to distinguish themselves from other accounting professionals and enhance their potential career opportunities and financial rewards.

WashU has determined that completing the Olin MACC program meets the educational requirements to apply for the CPA Exam in Missouri, in the case of an applicant with an undergraduate degree in business. Although we have not determined this for other states, we will work with any MACC student to interpret exam eligibility requirements in the considered state.

Learn more on the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy website.

Additionally, the American Institute of CPAs’ This Way to CPA provides details and contact information for state and territory requirements.
