Value Creation in Healthcare: Opportunities and Investments

In late May, Dean Mazzeo and Patrick Aguilar, joined Professors Peter Boumgarden and Ryan McDevitt for a collaborative symposium with FTI Consulting on Value Creation in Healthcare. Our panelists and audience members included experts from across private equity, investing, and healthcare delivery who came together to explore the many ways value is defined in healthcare. The “quadruple aim” in healthcare describes the tension between patient experience/quality, population health, cost controls, and care team well-being. While we did not organize the conversation explicitly around this framework, each of these themes emerged throughout the discussion.

Health Decoded

This engaging monthly seminar series gathers leaders in health and business to pull back the curtain on real challenges, real solutions, and the lessons that matter most. Each session includes real-world case studies presented by an industry expert. Managing Director of the Business of Health Initiative, Patrick Aguilar, leads a discussion of a case with opportunities for audience Q&A, plus time for networking.
