Executive Education Registration Methods and Policies
Credit Cards
All credit card payments must be processed online. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit card details over the phone. We accept:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
- Government purchase cards
- Discover
- JCB cards
Please contact us if your organization prohibits the use of a payment portal.
We reserve the right to limit the number of participants to ensure optimum classroom engagement, to change course dates and instructors, and to cancel courses due to low enrollment. Course fees and schedules are subject to change without notice. Please call or see individual course webpages in our portal for the most current information regarding course fees and schedules.
Payment and Registration Confirmation
Your registration is not final until we receive payment in full or an approved purchase order. You will receive written confirmation via email within 48 hours after we receive both your registration and complete payment information. An incomplete submission of registration information does not grant you a seat in a course. An approved purchase order does not guarantee registration; it serves as a request for us to send an invoice for payment.
If a course or program gets canceled for any reason, you are responsible for any travel costs you have incurred. In the event of a course or program cancellation, every effort will be made to notify you immediately and to find an appropriate course or program you can transfer into. In this case, you will not be charged the transfer fees described in the cancellation policy section.
Written notice is required for all cancellations, transfers and substitutions. Send correspondence via email to execed@wustl.edu.
Purchase Orders
We accept purchase orders; however, please note that we cannot accept payment or purchase orders that identify the training vendor as the Brookings Institution.

Note: Purchase orders are reviewed within two business days of submission. An automated message will confirm when your registration is final.
Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)
Request an invoice to receive payment instructions. Please include:
- Participant’s name, organization, title, and email address
- Name and dates of the course you wish to register for

Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Washington University is among many colleges and universities that award CEUs to participants of approved, noncredit courses or programs. If you require proof of participation, please email your request to execed@wustl.edu. We will provide you with a letter of completion.
Substitutions
Participant substitutions are strongly encouraged when an original participant cannot attend their scheduled course. A substitution may be made until 3 business days before the course begins. Substitution requests must include the new participant’s name and email address.
Transfers
A participant may transfer from one course to another once. Any discount will be forfeited. Participants must pay any difference in tuition before being registered for a new course. Transfer fees apply according to the schedule below. If a participant wishes to transfer to an unspecified course, their tuition credit is valid for 12 months from the date of request. Any funds not used within 12 months will be forfeited.
Cancellation
If you withdraw from a course (instead of requesting a substitution or transfer) a cancellation fee will be assessed according to the schedule below. Additional charges may be assessed in cases where educational materials were sent before a participant canceled.
Open Enrollment Courses and Fee Schedule
Transfer and Cancellation fees depend on how many business days’ notice you give before the course begins. Substituting another participant is allowed at no cost, provided we receive at least 3 business days’ notice.

Cohort Programs
Tuition is non-refundable, and missed sessions cannot be made up in future course offerings. Substitutions and transfers are not permitted once the program begins.
